Community Courses at TIHE
Mode of Teaching
All classes are a combination of lectures and practical exercises. The
emphasis is on the participant gaining a lot of experience in the use of
computers. Participants will practice the use of commands to carry out
routine operations and functions, under close supervision and assistance.
Each participant will have a computer for his/her own use during class.
Both English and Tongan are used interchangeably during sessions and there
is no particular hindrance if a participant is not conversant in either
language. Although frequently, typing competence is not a requirement, the
ability to touch type is obviously an advantage.
